Our Story

Hello! Welcome to the website of our first child. Betsy and I are so excited that you decided to check us out! Alexander's Grocery & Deli is a small business, locally owned and run by us, Tim and Betsy Alexander! We both graduated from Oklahoma State University in the '80s (we aren't giving specific dates, that'll tell you how old we are!) We have three kids: Ryan, Annie, and Emily! 31 years ago in the Fall of 1988, Betsy and I (newly-wedded and fresh-faced) decided to purchase an old convenience store in Canadian, Texas. Not really knowing what we were getting ourselves into, we opened Alexander's Grocery & Deli, serving with tired smiles and yummy chicken strips. What started out as a gas station, but have since expanded our business into a catering business as well. Our goal here at Alexander's, or Al's as the locals call us, is to create an experience for every single customer that walks in. With our top of the line customer service and delicious food, we pride ourselves in satisfying customers. Stop by and get one of the tastiest cokes in the Panhandle of Texas!
